Artist Marleen Hansen captures emotions.

Observers can see her interest in people reflected in her work.

It's all about encounters. She has to capture everything that moves her on the canvas.

The canvas must live, just like the skin of an ageing person. So, plenty of paint, many layers, and often many earthy materials in the paint.

It is mainly abstract, emotions translated into colour, shape, line and plane, but often recognisable figures and shapes become dominant.

At the moment she "rediscovered" the child.

Simple shapes, screaming colours!!!
